“Heres one review that isnt about how the product looked when it was unpackaged or regurgitated garb about its huge surface area. Now Im not about to dismiss the surface area claims and it certainly is compact but this product will disintegrate in 6-10 months as soon as you pick it up or when performing sump maintenance. The particulates from the broken down block are as you can imagine, grit like and will not likely make any pumps (sump or other) last longer. Junk hyped up product which lacks the durability youd expect from such a product. Apologies for all the other reviews which mislead you however this review is from someone who decided that a review should be based on product performance and not how beautifully the product arrives to your door or simply what the manufacturer claims. “I must say that its compact size and ability to perform are second to none (to a point). In theory, you can throw a number of them in an average sump and periodically change them out or inspect detritus / condition etc. Until you want pick it up after 6 months of use, they totally disintegrate. Its happened to all 6 blocks and creates a huge mess not to mention the disaster it presents for any sump pumps etc. Dont like posting negative stuff but I was guided by positive reviews which justified the expense at the time.”
