“Been using purigen for approximately 6 years as a replacement for activated carbon.Only use it to clear up meds and cloudiness in new planted tanks these days.Have found it to have minimal affect on ammonia,nitrite and nitrate removal.It does polish water nicely however I belive large regular water changes to be much easier,cheaper and more beneficial.”
