Hi Derek, Thanks for your review of this product. I'm sorry to hear that you have had two of these break on you. It sounds like you may be exerting a little too much force when shucking the Oyster. If the knife is entered at the correct part of the hinge and worked into the oyster without twisting it too much, the hinge will give way and the Oyster can be opened easily. “So glad I ordered this fabulous knife. I could have possibly killed myself with a normal life. The oysters fought back. The knife made it easier and safer to open them. They were delicious my dad said. Bought for him . Fond regards”
