Firstly we didn’t get the Carlingford oysters as you wrote and informed us that your supplier had let you down. We received Jersey oysters which was not a big issue to us. We had delivery as stated and we asked, over Ring, the driver to put the box in the shade next to the garage. We picked up the box one hour later and put the oysters in the fridge. We had the oysters the same day but they were not as juicy as expected. Out of the 3 dozens there were probably only one in each pack that were as expected while the others were dry -ish inside, given us concern of the freshness. We did discard a few that didn’t close before opening them. We noticed that the pack date was the 14 July while the delivery and consumption was the 22 July. In the end , we ate them and the taste was ok but not more. However, no one had any issues afterwards. I am not sure if we will order again. Maybe when the weather gets colder, reducing the risk of the oysters drying out.

As oysters are a fresh live product, they have a shelf-life of 10 days and are completely fine to consume within those days. Hi, Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologise that the oysters received were not up to our usual standards. As the oysters are supplied already packed in their boxes, due to health and safety regulations we are not prohibited to open the box. Furthermore, as advertised on our website, due to being a fresh caught product, occasionally we might have to replace with item(s) of equal value. However, we have passed your feedback on to our team who will be looking into this with our supplier to ensure that this doesn't happen again.
