Unfortunately, a part of the fish had protruded through the edge of the shrink wrapped plastic bag the fish came wrapped in and the bag leaked. I therefore am not convinced the fish was in the best condition as the plastic bag was not air tight, unlike the previous orders (turbot and dover sole) where the fish was in prime condition. We did cook it nonetheless but were disappointed with the end result.

Hi Roderick, Thanks for your review. I'm sorry that your Turbot arrived with a failed vac pack. This is not how it should have arrived as the sealed bag makes it more convenient to store the fish in the fridge or freezer without any leaks. It does also prolong the shelf life a little, but as all our fish is market fresh, this should not have adversely affected the quality of the product. The fish was tasty and lovely. BUT weighed less than 1.5 kg and was delivered to the wrong house. Sent a complaint to the company no reply. Then asked to complete this review! Very poor service !!!

Hi Paula, Thanks for the review. Our customer service team has tried contacting you but as yet has not had a response. We always aim to respond to customer queries within 24 hours and usually much sooner than that, so if you don't hear from us in this time, it's a good idea to check where you have sent the email. Please note, that if you reply to one of our automated emails sent from a 'no-reply' address, we will not receive it. I'm very sorry that your Turbot was smaller than it should have been, please note that we weight every fish to check it is within grade prior to the fish mongers preparing/trimming it and it may be that it was within-grade (possibly at the lower end) before this. Nevertheless, I can see this would have been disappointing - we do aim for the middle of the weight range where possible. Our customer service team will rectify any difference due back to you. It is also disappointing to hear that DPD didn't deliver to the correct address and your feedback will be forwarded to the relevant hub.
