“This was my first taste of steelhead trout and it was excellent. I cut the trout into pieces and got 7 good size portions from the Fillet. I cooked one each for my husband and myself and he couldn't stop raving about it all evening. It was sweet and moist with a subtle flavour. I grilled the skin side first which I had brushed with a small amount of rice bran oil. I then turned the portions over and brushed the fish with sweet chilli sauce and sprinkled this with garlic pepper. Back under the hot grill for about 4-5 mins until slightly blackened and it is ready to serve. This can be eaten hot or cold.”
