Hi Peter, Thanks for taking the time to review this product. The frozen Crab is a slightly different texture and colour when compared to fresh Crabmeat, but it does represent good value for money and lends itself very well to certain dishes like pasta and Crab Cakes. The odd small pieces of shell are almost impossible to eliminate entirly and our quality control tests haven't flagged anything concerning, but as always, if you feel something isn't right, please do get in touch with customer services on 020 38555300.
