“I ordered myself an Omnidesk after using my husband's - the ease of use is wonderful, with four preset options for height plus manual height adjustment. Even when moving up or down, the desk remains sturdy with a PC, two monitors and various other peripherals. My only complaint is that my desk makes a slight clicking noise when going from raising to lowering - like a gear clicking into place - which my husband's desk does not make - however it doesn't affect the operation whatsoever.”
“The Omnidesk is great now that it is assembled. The motorised elevation is great, and the digital height indicator is fun. The service is lovely to work on too.
The assembly process however is 3-4 hours long and requires patience. The assembly pack seems to be generic to several desks, so you’ll finish up with unused parts – always unnerving. The desk is heavy and needs some jiggling to get screws into position, and you’ll be doing this on your hands and knees. I recommend knee pads. And be careful of your back. I had to use soap to get some screws in.
The graphic assembly instructions are the closest to accurate, just a bit superficial at some key points. The online video I was referred to was for a different desk and misleading at a certain point. There are 2 or 3 (what appear to be) minor points that have big backtracking consequences if you get them wrong. If you like problem solving, you’ll be fine.
I think it is safe to say the assembly instructions have not been user experience tested adequately, and I am guessing a lot of Omnidesks are assembled by someone who has done it before.
I’m writing this review in Word because the last time I tried to do it on the Omnidesk website it restarted, and I lost about 15 minutes work. More grist to my assessment that that Omnidesk user experience needs work.
Desk is great though. And comes with built-in sense of achievement if you survive assembly.”
“It's a good, sturdy desk. Relatively straightforward to put together. The matte surface feels nice to work on.
Paired the desk with a cheap treadmill and it's made a good walking desk.”
“Above expectations. Big tip from the delivery driver is use UTube rather than the instructions. Heavy duty construction works very well with height adjustment easily adjusted and stored. Laptop mount also well worth adding to the order and works well. For my Acer monitor I needed to buy a HumanCentic VESA Mount Adapter Bracket for Acer Monitors $44.60 + $11.05 via Amazon (ex US). Took a week longer to finalise set up but very well worth the effort. Strong double mount arms work well and all the storage for cables and even the adjusting tools work well. The set up has revolutionised my workspace and being able to stand up at a touch of a button makes working from home feeling like you are back in control and can stretch out through the day to freshen up. I haven’t got the USB ports to work yet which maybe because I am running off an extension lead rather then direct to wall connection.”
“I love my desk so far. It's been amazing and simple to use and is such a relief for my posture. The desk is of very good quality and has helped with productivity and functionality. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a top of the range desk for all uses.”
“I have been working from home for over 10 years and always had high quality chair to sit in but since getting the Omnidesk it has completely changed my perspective on sitting at work. I now spend most of my day standing on the Atlas mat and barely notice the time go by. I am really happy with the quality of the desk and it was super easy to put together as well. Highly recommended for anyone that is looking to improve their workspace!”
