“Dandruff is one of my biggest problems with my hair, due to my sensitive scalp, however, the Pre-Shampoo Scalp Clarifying Rinse from the rootist has drastically reduced the amount. Not only does it make my hair feel so much healthier, I no longer need to purchase and use dandruff shampoo as well. Unfortunately, the clarifying rinse has an odd citrusy chemical smell that I simply can not overlook. The first few times I used it I tried bearing with it, but the scent is just so off putting. If you can get over the odd smell, I would highly recommend this product as it genuinely has curbed my dandruff production.”

I have mixed feeling about the AHA+ACV Pre-Shampoo Scalp Clarifying Treatment, first off I definitely feel like it does what it is meant to, I feel like my scalp has been freed from all the product buildup, however there are a lot of drawbacks. Being able to time perfectly 10 to 15 minutes is hard to do as a stay at home mom so it is definitely a product that I have to plan into my schedule. Also because I am always with my kids playing outside, I find it off putting that this product has a sunburn alert that says to limit sun exposure for a week after using it. Also when applying I felt a tingling feeling on my scalp, I’m not sure if this is how it cleans so perhaps this normal but I also still felt this after rinsing it off. As for the bottle design, it is extremely easy to use and the application is not messy at all. The scent is minty and nice. I honestly don’t feel this product is for me but maybe for someone who is indoors mainly and has the time to use it.”
“After using The Rootist AHA+ACV Pre-Shampoo Scalp Clarifying Treatment, I found this helpful for my scalp. This is actually my first time to use a Pre-Shampoo treatment. For reference, I have Long and black hair that is dry and oily scap that sometimes I could have a build up. I love how this packaging is. It came with a nozzle type applicator where I find it that made it easier to apply and use which make it a hassle free. I use this before I do my shampoo and probably 2-3x a week depending on how my scalp is. It is a gel like texture so it doesn’t run all over my head. I am not a fan of the scent as you can smell the ACV im but that didnt bother me too much as I know I was gonna shampoo my hair right after and it doesn’t linger right after you shampoo it. I love how it makes my scalp feels after use. It feels clean, refreshed and exfoliated without stripping my scalp. I definitely noticed how it helped with my build up on my scalp and just leaving my roots or scalp healty and build up free. I just love the feeling of rejuvination after using this. The most important thing for me is this product definitely works for me. This is worth a try if you are having problems with flaky scalp or some build ups.”
