“I have been testing out this dry shampoo for about a week now and I really like it . First thing is , I really love the bright colors and packaging ! The size is great for taking it on the go , can easily fit into your makeup bag or purse . The dry shampoos is a powder form that is in a tube connected to a powder brush , you can slide the plastic down to open the brush up all the way , then slide it back up to close it . The powder has a peppermint scent to it . It does leave a little bit of a white cast at fury but you can brush it in . While I love dry shampoo, this one does make my hair feel a little rough, I’m not a fan of the texture it leaves on my hair but it works very well to soak up oil which I need . I have a very oily scalp and this stuff helps reduce the oil buildup”
“I’ve been a cosmetologist for 9 years and always trying new hair products. I have spend hundreds of dollars on dry shampoos and this right here is a game changer!! I love how you apply it with the brush and how compact it is to throw right in my purse. It instantly absorbs my oily hair when needed and sweat. I am a blond so I dont see any residue or left over powder but I can’t really review since I am light hair color. Nice fresh scent to help refresh several day old hair. I haven’t experienced any drying of m y scalp or itchiness which tends to be an issue for me at times with different dry shampoos. This product to me will be a staple product in my purse! I highly recommend for any hair type as it does not affect your scalp. It’s extremely healthy and environmental safe and all around a great choice of product!”
“Hello
My name is Diana
What I liked most about this product is its applicator, it is very different from others I have tried, this makes the application even easier. And if it really helps me control the oil that my head produces.”
“I’m a licensed cosmetologist, my passion is hair. I wanted to try The Rootist Clarify Dry Shampoo Powder.
My hair type: 4A curly/lose coils, I have lightener and semi permanent hair color
My scalp: seborrheic dermatitis (tends to get oily and dry, I guess you can say I have combination scalp)
My first impression: packaging is small and cute. Dry shampoo in the form of a brush is very unique. I take it as makeup (press powder) for the scalp. Perfect for on the go. It does have a scent but it’s barely noticeable.
Applying was easy. The dry shampoo formula is impressive. My scalp definitely felt refreshed, in terms that it absorbed the sweat and oil on my scalp. The brush itself is soft, it’s not stiff.
The downside, at some point it felt like there was no product coming out of the brush. This wouldn’t work for certain hair styles, especially if your scalp gets super oily. The product it self is ok but it did feel stiff or overwhelmed with product on my scalp. At first I thought the product didn’t come out, after I applied I massaged it in. About a few minutes later my daughter questioned what was on my scalp. I looked into the mirror and noticed the powder magically showed up even after massaging it in. Also, I felt the application caused some type of frizz on my hair because of the friction back and forth from the brush.
Definitely I wouldn’t recommend this to everyone”
“I have been in the beauty industry for over 25 years in the corporate side and retail side and so I have been exposed to numerous brands. I recently tried The Rootist
Talc Free Dry Shampoo Powder and per the name, I love the fact it is Talc-Free. Don't have to worry about it being carcinogenic. The primary packaging is cool, since this is made to be refillable, so less thing to add to the landfill and like the fact it is not an aerosol, so better for the environment. I have tried several dry shampoos and application can be a bit crazy, since aerosol version pollutes the air and I always end up coughing too much afterwards and I have another one that "spits" out and it can be messy and not great at distribution. This brush applicator goes on well and without tainting the air I breath. It might be me, but the secondary packaging choice of colour and typography can be a bit hard to focus and read. I have oilier hair during the hotter months, because I am such a sweaty monster and so I find myself needing to wash my hair more often, but I don't want to, because it's not great to wash your hair on an everyday basis, so dry shampoo has always been my friend. The other great thing about this is that it is so compact, so easy to have it with you on the go. It contains Rootbiomic Ferment™ and it's basically Rootist mult-ivitamin superfood that helps you achieve healthier hair from roots to ends.
I like how this company is about sustainability and it is cruelty-free and free of parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, sulfates SLS & SLES, triclocarban, triclosan, and contains less than one percent synthetic fragrance.”
“So I thought I was going to be the biggest fan of this product but I am sadly not. First it's almost $30 and the product comes out a good amount at a time and there's no way to stop all the product from coming out. Dosnt work well and I even used it before my hair got to the oily part of the week. And ended up feeling not the best after.”
“I actually used this product on clean roots after washing my hair to help prevent oily roots later on. It was effective in achieving this goal, as my third day roots are flatter, but don't look outright greasy as they would with no product. The powder dispenses from the super soft brush. The powder is extremely fine (some poofs into the air) and easily blends into my dark hair with no white residue. It also has an herbal scent which I personally enjoy. Overall I have no qualms with the quality. I deduct one star because there isn't much product.”
“I have short curly hair. The ends are dry and the scalp gets pretty oily. I absolutely love this dry shampoo! I appreciate that it’s not an aerosol. And I can easily pack it around with me. It doesn’t leave any white cast and the brush application is easy and convenient, I prefer it over aerosol dry shampoo. I have an extremely oily scalp and this definitely does its job at getting rid of all the oil.”
