“Reflective Eyeshadow
Ok so to summarise this product has a texture like lipgloss when applying so can get quite messy above the eye (be warned) once dry it genuinely feels like a second skin and isn’t as creasy as I’d imagined.
Now I really love the idea but I think this colour (in the flash) is just too much for me around the eyes, now as a flash of highlight it’s a BIG YES for me and applied lightly under powder you can’t even see it without a flash. Just around the eyes it’s a bit overwhelming in photos but that’s possibly because it’s not my style so that’s not affected the score at all.
The only thing stopping me from saying it’s a five star is the removal it’s similar to that of eyelash glue once you wash it off. So a bit yuck but nothing major.
I will definitely try other colours as I think I’m just yet to find my match”
“Perfect for photography
This would be perfect for makeup artists who work on photoshoots. You could have a lot of fun with these creating editorial looks and playing with the light effects. So as this colour is grey without the flash light it's a little less wearable than the other colours for me. But it's so beautiful and striking when it's silver with the flash . Very very unique product and packaging. Looks completely matte until the flash is on . In these photos I used it with my finger but you would definitely get a smoother even application with a brush .”
“Eyeshadow
A nice eyeshadow to use that can be built up and provide a good coverage. In the pictures I was trying to show how you can make it lighter and buildable I am still working on that. I maybe feel this colour is too dark for me all over but it will look good for a way to highlight areas on my eyelids. I would recommend it to people for there eyeshadows.”
“Can really see potential with this
So I’m going to be honest here I i didn’t have the highest hopes with this product when I first squeezed it out. Looks however, are deceiving. When I received this, the packaging reminded me of a container of art paints. I’m not sure if that was the idea? But I loved the concept. as I began to squeeze some product out, it had separated slightly so black oil came out first which was a little frustrating and something to bear in mind for your first use. Applying the product was so easy. It’s quite pigmented and I did just a simple winged look. I do love that it can be worn daily quite simply and it’s not just something you can use on occasions. I put the flash to the test and the glitter is stunning when you take a photo. I can see this working really well on a night out, but day to day use, it’s really only black pigment which isn’t unpleasant in the slightest and does mean it essentially has an everyday use and a more fun night out use. I built it up on my eyes whilst doing a wing look and I was really impressed at the way it went on. Glided really nice with a brush and the consistency was perfect. Wasn’t too dry, wasn’t too wet. It does transfer though. After about an hour I lightly touched with my finger to test the transfer and I did get some product on my finger. It doesn’t smear, but it also doesn’t dry completely on your skin. so in terms of lasting I’m not sure how well this would work if you were to use it as an eyeliner and not imbedded in an eye look. You could probably set it with a black shadow on top! I absolutely adore the concept for nights out and events. And I think you could create some really stunning looks with this. Consistency is fantastic and makes for an easy application but the idea of it transferring doesn’t really give me much faith in it surviving a night out. I need something that won’t budge til I wipe with makeup remover. The brand is cruelty free, and the innovation with the brand is outstanding and I’ve already had a browse through at some other products to purchase. I can put aside the fact that the product only really stands out if you’re taking photos or in flashing light because I do think if I wore it out I’d be taking plenty of photos to show it off! The only thing that has really bothered me is the fact that it transfers and even after an hour, gently touching it will lead to pigment transferring to your finger. Perhaps this is something that can be addressed in the future. I received this to test in the shade 4.10 obsidian ”
“Such a unique product!!
I had the pleasure of being send this product as a tester. I loved how compact and easy to use the product was. Such an ideal size to throw into your handbag for some nice easy makeup. Such a nice subtle pop of colour on the eyelids, easily buildable to deepen the colour. Easy to add powder eyeshadow on top. ”
“Great for photos
I received this product to test and I must say it is unlike any other product I have seen on the market! If you put lots of product on the colour will be slightly grey in normal light and very sparkly in flash photos, but I prefer to use less product so you almost can’t see it at all and then it is a fun surprise that you have sparkly eyes in photos! Only downside to this product is I wish the sparkles were visible to the naked eye! But overall I think it is a great buy with a very original feel.”
“Black as the skies !!
I had the pleasure of testing out the gorgeous #unseenbeauty obsidian eyeshadow. I love this colour. It is the perfect black, not a weak black that looks watery, it is super strong and pigmented. When placed under a flash it goes sparkly ! It can be used as an eyeshadow or an eyeliner - why I love this product so much !!! You get SO MUCH shadow in a tube. The one tiny issue was when you take off the lid immediately a bit of product comes out due to the pressure- but that is because they don’t skimp on the product. Amazing brand. Will be a regular customer. ”
“Would look fab in photos
I received the light grey colour of this eye shadow to try - I was a bit meh when I first applied it - it was a very washy grey and didn’t really show up on my skin tone however when I took a photo using the flash I was pleasantly surprised, it really does give a striking look. I think it would be best to use over a base colour personally as I wasn’t keen on the colour without the flash. I think this would be a really great item to use at a rave or out clubbing and you could try different effects such as drawing on freckles or body art which would look fab in the photos. I really wasn’t keen on the packaging though - I think it looked quite cheap, a bit like I’m taking it through airport security in one of those clear bags, and it’s a reasonably expensive product so I don’t think the packaging reflects this. ”
