“This is a very handy top box. I had to buy two longer high-tensile bolts to mount the box base using the original KLR rack to frame mount to go throught the top box base mount and washers for the front mounts. For the rear bolts, I added a rectangle metal bracket to add strength to the supplied bolts and nuts and drilled throught the plastic bed of the KLR rack to secure the rear mounts.
I like that the box is lockable and removable with the key from the base.
