“Really unpleasant experience. Bought tiles, and they turned out to be the wrong size. Completely my mistake. I contacted Tile Mountain, apologised, and offered to return them to their nearest store. (20 miles away). It then became clear they aren't keen on returns, and started losing emails, and putting up various obstacles, to make sure it wasn't worthwhile to return. A shame, and puts me off dealing with them again. There are enough competitors to choose from. Maybe it was just a one off bad experience, and I was unlucky. If it isn't, the Company will struggle.”
We apologise that you are unhappy with our current returns policy. As suggested we are happy to accept returns to our return centre however our stores are unable to accept the goods as they do not hold stock and are unable to transfer this back to us. We are very sorry if you were not aware that the delivery service offered is a kerbside delivery. We do advertise this as our delivery service and encourage customers to have help on site when receiving their order should this be needed.
“Firstly I order one tile and a day before delivery I was informed that the product I ordered was not in stock and they didn’t know when it would be! I was provided alternative tiles to choose from that were the same price, I chose a second tile (porcelain slab) with delivery confirmation on Wednesday, the tiles didn’t arrive until the Saturday, between me and my wife we called every single day and was guaranteed that they would arrive that day or the next, this didn’t happen! A delayed delivery wouldn’t of been so bad but I had builders ready to lay and had to pay them for hanging around due to constant reassurance that they would be delivered. When they eventually arrived no one was home and the delivery driver put two pallets on my drive and the 3rd pallet of the same size on the path in front of my house meaning that when I got home I then had to shift a pallet of tiles out of the street! the builders I had lined up are currently working in the evenings to lay the patio which is a result of delays in delivery! I still have 1 pallet to open but already have 7 broken slabs from the first pallet. Overall shocking service but the tiles (porcelain slabs) look great which is why I gave 2 stars! The quality is good but the delivery company need replacing!”
We are very sorry to see that this has happened and that you have been so inconvenienced. We do use a third-party courier and so do rely on them for information regarding deliveries. In this instance, despite regular chasing, we have struggled to get any information from them and for this, we are very sorry. With regards to the damages, we cannot see that a claim has been reported within our advertised timeframe, but please do give us a call if you wish to report this and we will see how we can assist.
