“Smart tiles, laid in lines (vs offset) on our bathroom wall. Complemented by dark brick effect tiles behind the toilet.
Breakages replaced, no problem.”
“Really lovely style and quality. They have not been fitted yet but I'm sure will look lovely when on the walls. Delivery driver was really helpful in bringing them in as they are very heavy!”
“Really pleased with these tiles and they set off our bathroom. Nice and big to minimise the grout required and make greater impact when all together on the wall. No tiles were broken in any of the boxes, so our plumber used some of the surplus tiles for the skirting and it looks great.”
“These are good tiles. I ordered 10 sq meters of this tile. They arrived as promised by Tile mountain. They were very well protected prior to delivery and arrived with no damage.
.My tiler said that I needed more. These were duly ordered and arrived as before. I have no issues at all with Tile mountain nor their delivery .
However there was 1 minor niggle with the tiles on the additional order. My tiler used a laser level to ensure accuracy and on fitting the tiles. He highlighted was that the additional tiles received were around 1 mm larger on all edges. This problem was not a fault of Tile mountain but as in all things there will be slight variation in manufacture. So order sufficient in the 1st place to avoid this possibility.”
“I ordered two different size tiles from the same range (Barbados) to combine in the same project. The two sizes were completely different in thickness and material, although both were supposed to be the same according to the description on the website. The design and colour didn't match perfectly either. Also the sizes were consistently inaccurate, so it was impossible to match the long edge of 300x600 tile with the short edge or 1200 x600 tile. Tile Mountain says they would be happy to pick up the tiles and refund the purchase. However, it's a massive inconvenience to have to pack the tiles up and have them collected. Also, I had to get on with the project so returning the tiles was impracticable. It is true that I should have ordered samples, but I strongly feel that it should not be necessary to order samples from different sizes tiles of the same range in order to check that they are identical. Tile Mountain says the differences are due to tiles being produced in different batches etc. I do understand that, but again: this does not take away the retailer's responsibility to to describe their products correctly. The description of all the sizes in the Barbados range are identical, so I would expect to receive identical products. On top of that, their delivery company kept delivering broken tiles and the replacements came broken as well. I have received a refund, but the hassle and waste of time makes it not worth buying from them. The different tiles resulted in the project not looking up to the desired standard”
Thank you for your feedback, due to the way the tiles are manufactured, under British tiling standards, there can be size and shade variance between batch numbers. For a consistent finish, we would recommend ordering the same batch for both walls and floor when using the same style tile. Please contact us if you require anything further.
