“The tile is nothing like the picture which shows a nice flat polished effect. The tile is actually like a big ceramic tile. A porcelain base with a glazed finish - which is not flat more curved towards the edges.
I'm a DIY'er and installed myself on anhydrite screed subfloor. Used big clinker to cut along with bench wet saw. The cut edges are a bit chippy so you won't get a clean edge. One of the tiles was too curved and no corners were chipped - so not that bad, but being a glazed surface not convinced about longevity.
Yes, it looks nice - but wouldn't buy it again. Make sure you get a full-sized sample”
Thank you for your feedback. We would always recommend ordering a sample prior to placing a full order, we can confirm the tile is porcelain and has a polished finish. In regards to cutting the tile, this should be done with a diamond tip wet wheel cutter. If we can assist further please contact our customer service team.
“Tiles arrived well packaged with minimal damage on corners. They look identical to the images on the website and have modernised our kitchen. Very happy with the service received from Tile Mountain, would happily order again!”
“Unfortunately approx 15% of the tiles have slight chips in the corners once you unpack. Luckily you can use these as offcuts but I have seen this in a couple of previous comments and something you need to look into as the quality isn’t as good as should be.
Cutting and working with the tile was fine and as expected. I mainly used a grinder to cut and it worked well.
Once laid, it’s a nice looking tile, not too much of a sheen which is good, and overall looks very nice with the recommended light grey grout.
Aside from the chipped edges it’s good value.”
