“I never leave reviews either way but feel I need to warn buyers of the quality of this product.
Tile mountain no issues, they done their job, just annoyed they sell it , for impulsive idiots like me to buy.
I didn't buy it because I wanted something cheap,I bought it because it was something I needed and it happened to be cheap.
I have laid many types of the laminate before in high-traffic areas exposed to pets and psychotic kids (and adults) and the main reason laminate is the go-to is that it's always bulletproof, regardless of make/reviews,etc. not this one.
First was the big scratch when putting the washing back in, I didn't think it was enough to cause such a mark but I put my hands up and take the blame for that one, lift, replace, relay.
Then after it was all down, I was replacing the skirtings, basic painting, usual new place prep , etc, I noticed a tiny bit of movement on an uneven floorboard underneath, I had used the best underlay I could, which helps even out little lumps and bumps, and you expect the joints to be as resilient as other types to withstand this type of thing so wasn't a big concern, soon it was a concern, where the tiny movement was, the join split a good 30cm along the tongue/ groove. a while later when the cleaner was mopping to prepare for new tenants the water got in here and now there's nice little bubbling along the edge after the first clean, not great but still, I'll admit maybe I could have prepped better.
I noticed a little chip in the bedroom, never happened before, maybe I dropped a screw driver so just need a little repair kit..... then I noticed another chip, and another, another and another - Harry Ramsden was Banging at the door looking for a cheap supply , so many chips! never seen anything like it!, they stand out too with the creamy wooden color exposed, surrounded by the cheap grey paint. It made me realise that laminate is a loose term and this is actually just thin mdf spayed with poster paint. I've had to put up a sign banning wotsits and quavers for the fear of what one dropping on the floor could do. It gave me a bit of comfort that the other noted issues were likely due to the woeful standard and not questionable installation.
Think it's probably great if you're planning to lay a carpet over it but don't ever try walking on it or touching it! I think even sweeping with a brush made of anything harder than candy floss is asking for trouble , 13 year residential warranty , hahahaha, lol”
