“Perfume pens are a great challenge as the pens are small and have to be turned parallel with a high degree of accuracy. The only issue was that the instructions were missing the fact that you need to unscrew the centreband from the nib before fitting. Since this was my first use of this kit I initially thought that the centreband was missing. Once realizing that it was part of the nib, I tried to separate them. After trying to pull the band off I realized it may be screwed on so used a pair of pliers to unscrew it. It was quite tight and would not unscrew by hand. Once this was done it was a simple process to assemble the pen and enjoy the result. Maybe the instructions could include a statement that you need to unscrew the centreband from the nib rather than show it separate. Would save a lot of pondering for the uninitiated”
