“This is a great item particularly paired with the Pen Mandrel as it prevents bending of the pen Mandrail Shaft and you have more control over the pressure of the work piece.”
“The tool is very high quality but the Morse Taper seems to be a bit too long for my Carbatec Lathe. It is longer than the live center that came with the lathe by the tapered section on the end of the mandrel saver shaft and does not sit quite right in the tailstock. I will probably cut the excess piece off the Mandrel Saver to make the shaft the same length as the live center that came with my lathe”
