A terrific aperitif Sake perfect for sunsets, comparable to a Blanc/Bianco Vermouth, the midday/sunset drink of the Riviera and beyond. Others have brought up a comparison to white wine, and I do get some flavor similarities to a Sauvignon Blanc. I like pairing Sake with Indian food, and since Sauvignon Blanc is a varietal that is produced and enjoyed in India, I tried this sake, successfully, alongside Chicken Curry and Chana Masala over Basmati rice. Worked quite well, as the citrus tones and light sweetness set a nice balance with the South Asian spices. The dryness of the Sake played nicely with the curry and rich flavors. That said, I can certainly enjoy this very pleasant sake any time of the day.

Crisp, clear, but very strong alcohol. Make sure you know that ahead of time!

Very delicious flavors. Reminded me of a white wine but with that characteristic sake taste.

A charming counterpart to it's apple heavy cousin, this sake is a pleasure from the first sip and lingers with revelations of flavors. colder temperatures being out the fresh water intensity.
