“Sweet and creamy. Definitely serve chilled or else the flavor of the alcohol and rice stop blending and produce a bite. Best served with food because it is so easy to drink and low on the alcohol content. This kind of unfiltered sake is more utilitarian and a good way to introduce other people to sake. I tested the pH. It's about 6 which is close to milk! Great for spicy asian food.”
“Tilt the still blue bottle and watch as powdery white clouds billow up and slide through the clear liquor, blending into a beautiful milky fluid. It’s like watching a snow globe! Pour the liquid into your cup and notice the thickness as it flows, folds and fills its container. The scent is discernibly umami. Sip this saké and discover how it feels to bite into it. The chewiness is smooth and satisfying. Very oddly like coconut cheese. It’s not as sweet as my last nigori experience, but more like grassy sweet earth where mushrooms grow. With all this, there is still a slight fruitiness. I recognized musk melon in the midst. A great, all-senses engaged kind of experience.”

“Generally with unfiltered sake, there is an inherent sweetness from the rice. Hakushika "Snow Beauty" didn't really have this sweetness. While the color really was "white as snow" it tasted simply like sake with a bit more of a mouth feel due to it being unfiltered. Wasn't bad, wasn't great.”
