“Dassai 45 is a crisp Junmai Daiginjo that is reasonably priced yet still on a par with much more expensive selections. Paired well with fish, especially sushi, it is remarkably refreshing by itself as an afternoon summer everage while relaxing on the deck.
The only drawback is if GLS is your delivery service, as they are lacking in professionalism, unreliable and incommunicative. Unfortunate that this choice of delivery company detracts from the overall pleasure of dealing with Tippsy.”
“Dassai 45 is our go-to sake with sushi. It’s a lush sake that’s on the sweeter side; balanced but not boring. In the same profile (for taste and value) as Born Gold or Denshin Rin. We have tried the higher polish Dassai products (e.g. Dassai 39 and 23 - haven’t tried “beyond” yet), and while there is a noticeable uptick in quality in those products, the 45 is a perfect companion for your regular sushi dinner. I’d go for the higher polish if you were having some really high quality sushi and wanted a sake that was going to offer less competition to those flavors. Overall, highly recommend to the Junmai Daiginjo fans.”
