“"Demon Slayer" - OMG!!! , One of the Best I've ever tasted, it will be on my lips forever, and in my liquor cabinet,as a staple of my life . Five ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐”
“Wakatake Onikoroshi 鬼殺し (the demon killer)
This, the red label junmai 純米, compared to the (also) green bottle with black/white label junmai “ginjo” is a bit more ricey. It’s not quite as smooth. Nonetheless this brew is a real winner. I like it served chilled in beautiful shuki 酒器 ceramic sake vessels. At the right TPO (Beau Timken’s term “time-place-occasion) this wonderful sake can set the tone for the evening. Turn the music up! Party down! Very drinkable ochoko after ochoko. Great with snacks. I highly recommend this baby and her big sister Ms Onikoroshi Junmai Ginjo.”
“Purchased this sake for my partner for Christmas. It arrived quickly and is really good. We are very new to sake, this is our first bottle but we will be trying more soon :)”
“My wife and I love this sake... any time we're out having sushi and Demon Slayer is available, we always buy a bottle. Nice to be able to buy some for the house and not pay restaurant markup!”
“The junmai daiginjo Wakatake Onikoroshi is a staple of the daiginjos I drink. It’s just delicious. Smooth, fruity and easy to drink. I also think it’s fairly well balanced, too, despite its fruitiness. I’ve been drinking this sake for years now. This is a high quality daiginjo that isn’t too special to be saved for special occasions. It’s a luxurious treat but one that can be enjoyed regularly. If you haven’t tried it and you like fruity but balanced flavors, I recommend it. (There’s a reason it’s sold out at the time I write this.)”
Hi Matthew,
Thank you so much for your review,
It is a clear Junmai Daiginjo with a delicate aroma of ripe fruits, velvety texture, and finishes on a sharp, crisp note. Its elegance makes it stand out as a delightful sake. This sake is very well balanced and can go with any foods. A little spiciness complements the meat and fish foods.
Hi Dustin,
Thank you so much for your review.
Wakatake “Onikoroshi” Junmai Daiginjo is clean and dry sake, but it is so smooth sake. If you would like to drink more dry sake, I recommend that Otokoyama. It is also dry sake, so it must be pair with spicy foods!
