“A decent everyday sake. If you are looking for something special, this is not it, but it has a nice, clean taste that makes it easy to drink. I initially tried it chilled and it was a little simple with nothing really standing out. I typically prefer to drink my sake straight from the refrigerator, but as I got this as part of the “Team Warm” sale, I made sure to try it heated. I believe this one really improves warmed up. The warmth brings out more of the sweetness and a mellowness I really enjoyed. As I was drinking this warm, I thought I have really limited my sake journey by not trying other bottles out at the varying recommended temperatures. Lesson learned and I look forward to more warm sake this winter.”
“Personally was not a fan of this one. It was nutty, and had a smooth mouthfeel, but had a syrupy consistency that I did not like. Tried this warm, and I was not impressed.”
“I must admit, for as long as I have been drinking sake, I have not had a proper "warmed," sake. I heated to 100 degrees F and took my first drink, and was blown away. I am more smitten to junmai daiginjo, so cold is the only way to go. I loved this sake. The aftertaste, the mouthfeel; very satisfying. The nutty-ness was thoroughly enjoyable. I will definitely purchase again.”
“I don't think I will order this again, it wasn't gross but it was too earthy or nutty to me I'm new to sake so my palette isn't so refined yet maybe in the future I can try this again and may like it better, was okay with red meats”
Hi Tacy,
Thank you so much for your replying.
Someone said that it is characteristic, so people separate Likes and dislikes, but I hope you will be like this sake with some meat.
