Very light flavor wise but easy to drink nonetheless.

Given that it's one of the few sakes I've seen recommended at 120°+, I had to try it hot. It's rated on the drier side, but I found it a very neutral flavor, with a distinct aftertaste of red licorice. Altogether, a delicious companion to a dinner of spicy seafood.

First off, please note that this is not my typical style of sake. I usually seek out bolder flavors. The sake was crisp and clean, but for me it lacked in the flavor profile. While I got some subtle notes, nothing truly shined through. Chilled, this was refreshing with dinner, but not a great sipper. At room temperature, some of the flavors came through but not enough for me. Overall this is a good sake, just not for me.

It gets better with warmth. Refreshing cold, but warm it was rich with lots of layers of flavor!

Fair offering, but worth the reasonable price. Has great notes of dry nuts and a spiced fruit punch on the finish. Big and boozy.

A good and enjoyable sake. It has a strong nutty and walnut taste and smell through it all. The taste also has a slight bitterness in the finish and contrasts well with the nutty notes. The body is smooth with a refreshing finish.

Hi Robert, Kikusui “Karakuchi” is really smooth and light sake! We also have Kikusui " Junmai". " Karakuchi" is really great balance, so it must be pair with some seafoods!
