“It's been way too long since I've had good quality saké. This was a breath of much needed fresh air. When room temp or chilled it is indeed acidic with lovely rice notes and a clean finish. When served warm the alcohol comes out in full force and has that signature taste that always reminds me of warm butter. 酒好きだいよ!”
“I bought this nihonshu thinking it was pretty dry at a +6.5. It disappointed. The worst nihonshu I’ve ever had was the IMA oyster pairing sake, and the suigei had a very similar flavor - although much more mild. While the mildness made was a positive when it came to the sweet flavor, it was a negative on the body. I was expecting much more than the dry manly sake that was advertised. This is not a sake that will make your balls drop. Probably the opposite. If you like dry and manly - stick with the northern prefectures. This Shikoku brew was a let down.”
