Kamotsuru “Itteki Nyukon” Reviews

4.6 Rating 16 Reviews
Kamotsuru "Itteki Nyukon" is a delicious sake and one of our favorites. We have had it both chilled and at room temperature and have loved it either way. It paired really well with ginger pork, grilled shiitake with yuzu ponzu, red & white salad, and cucumber pickle. It is also wonderful for late-night sipping by itself.

This was a gift for my elderly Dad who lived in Japan mid19th century. Thanks to Tippsey (spelling?) expert advice I chose their recommendation & he was thrilled with it. Customer service, selection, website excellent & delivered in a timely way.

Drank this cool but not cold at about 60 degrees F. Very smooth. No bite at all on first taste or the finish. Very present anise on the nose and palate. Easy to pair with food and holds its own even with strong flavors. Paired with a soba noodle stir fry with gochuchang .

Really solid, clean-tasting sake for the price -- good value. Great by itself as an aperitif, but also enjoyed with simple meal of pork cutlets, rice and tsukemono.

This sake was great! Very good cold. It has a slightly sharper taste than some ginjo, which went well with its flavors. I enjoyed it with sushi and it was very nice.
