“I was a bit puzzled by some of the tasting notes. Usually they are spot on or at least close to my experience. I got zero fruit and overall not much sweetness. Thankfully, not any licorice either. For me, this was a dry sake with more of a grain-forward flavor. I think this may be the first junmai daiginjo, as stated on the bottle, that I have tried that was more earthy than fruity. If you like rich and dry sake, this might be a great choice. I like trying different varieties and this was enjoyable, but it fell short of being a new favorite.”
