I first tried it in a toriyaki restaurant in hawaii. Loved it! Looked it up online and found it here, super nice price, highly recommend.

Wonderfully sweet and smooth.. a real dessert drink. Cooled to refrigerator temp it makes a great digestif.

Amazingly smooth, deliciously sweet, a good, strong hint of plum, this is an exceptionally pleasing sake for any time consumption. If it were $10 cheaper a bottle I would probably consume one a week.

Have you ever ordered a hamburger at a fancy restaurant only to be disappointed that it wasn't as good as White Castle even though you spent way more? And everything that you appreciate in a hamburger is missing only to be replaced with a whole bunch of pretense? As someone who thinks Choya is the perfect dessert after dinner at an izakaya, I was a little worried that would be case with Sawanotsuru. Thankfully, it's most certainly not the case. Sawanotsuru is everything I enjoy about less expensive umeshu, but a bit more complex and nuanced. I will definitely buy again.

When they said nectar-like sweetness in the description, they weren't kidding! If you don't want sweet-as-candy sake, pass this one over. That said, the flavor is rich and has depth of palate. I love sweet drinks, and I found this sake a fine accompaniment to a heavy meal. Also, my alcohol-hating husband shared a glass with me. We'll definitely be ordering this again!

Light, sweet, and even slightly floral. Amazing as a dessert sake.
