“A masterpiece. It would seem contradictory for a sake to deliver on the promises of a hearty yamahai, but to retain the crisp, subtle profile we expect from a high quality Niigata offering. This is my favorite thing to reach for to pair with yakitori, grilled meats and izakaya fare.”
“To date (and we haven't tried all of the sake on Tippsy, but we've certainly tried a lot of them), this is our family favorite. In general, we prefer the junmai to the ginjo because of the way they allow the regional variation (the terroir) to show through. But among the junmai, Yuki no Bosha is extraordinary. There's a wonderful sense of fruit that comes through. It was shocking the first time we tried it. Now it's the reason we keep coming back to it, time and again.”
“Really great offering that manages to be well-balanced and subtle, but still stands up well when paired with bolder flavors. Any izakaya fare that you would normally lean towards eating alongside a beer would work wonderfully with this. I had it with a shichimi spiced fried chicken and it was spectacular. I think it would also play brilliantly with gochujang so I'm saving another bottle for the next time we order Korean take-out.”
Hi Matt,
Thank you so much for your replying. YukinoBosha is really good quality one. And some dry sake is much with spicy food or heavy foods like beef.. If you would like to drink some dry one, I recommend OTOKOYAMA. It is really dry sake.
Thank you so much!
“Oh boy, where to start. Both of the Yuki no Bosha sakes were delicious! It's a yamahai, which is always fun to taste. This sake is definitely one of my favorites.”
Hi Jenny Ramseyer.
Thank you so much for your review!
We still have a lot of Yamahai, and we also have different taste.
If you want to try one, let us know!
“Enjoyed this one with Quinn who is also a reviewer and I would agree that its an extremely pleasant sake to drink. Seems like it would go very well with any light meats or appetizers. Flavor profile is great and the mint is very subtle but it works. All in all a fantastic sake. Buy it and try for yourself!”
