4.7 Rating 32 Reviews
Read Titan Attachments Reviews

The Root Grapple Bucket Attachment features two grapples with a 36" opening and 24" long bottom tines designed with a serrated leading edge, making tearing through small roots and brush easy. This root grapple bucket design is compatible with John Deere loaders featuring a hook and pin connection. The implement includes twin 3,000 PSI cylinders, which guarantees serious heavy-lifting power. For your convenience, we have included greaseable pins, bushings, hoses, and couplers. You will also get a protective canvas sleeve that keeps the hydraulic hoses from getting pinched while you use them. The Root Grapple Bucket is an excellent landscaping tool, as it provides a superior and more efficient way to move rocks, logs, brush, and other heavy objects.NOTE: When ordering this grapple rake you will need to provide your phone number so the trucking and shipping company can schedule delivery.

This is a solid built unit , very heavy duty Be aware, I bought the 72” model which comes with larger size hoses and couplings, it will not fit the JD 440r loader with standard 3rd function 1/4 inch couplings. Easy $85 fix To swap out couplings but it would be nice if they tell you that before buying.

First the positive features, the grapple has a great gripping strength. The shipping was adequate other than sitting at the trucks dock for over a week. For the negative side, the welding on much of the unit is poor in comparison to my Frontier implements. The paint is already showing signs of rust and I just have installed the grapple. The fitment to my JD is sloppy with 1/2" of gap that will result in increased wear over the years. The steel plate between the ram is a light gage and will be problematic over time. I have an older tractor, 1994 and had to have a Faccie valve installed for the unit to work.

This is a very heavy duty piece of equipment. The welds are all solid and it’s built like a tank. It’s actually a little heavy for my 4044 John Deere, but that’s on me, and it still easily handles the large piles of brush and limbs that I move around with proper rear ballast. The only two reasons I didn’t give it a 5 star: 1. The grease zerks were all loose (hand tight) and one was missing. This seems to be a pretty common issue with Titan grapples. 2. The more serious issue, the hydraulic hoses are arranged in such a way that, where they are routed to the cylinders, they rub against a sharp edge of the protective channel on both sides. My hoses already have grooves cut into them after a day of use and will no doubt spring a leak at some point if I continue to use the grapple as is. Unfortunately I didn’t notice this sooner or I would’ve figured out a way to protect the hoses. The grease zerks aren’t a big deal. The hydraulic hoses rubbing against a sharp corner on both cylinders is a pretty big problem. Overall this is a great grapple for money. Be sure to compare the weight of the grapple to your tractor/loader lift capacity. Have some extra grease zerks on hand and put a wrench to them to make sure they’re tight. And before you use the grapple, inspect the routing of the hydraulic hoses for places where they might rub when opening/closing.

It,s better than expected. Very heavy built. I have it on a 5425 john deere and it works very well with that tractor. The only thing I would have liked different is the hydrolic hoses. It comes with 1/2" hoses and they are difficult to position, 3/8" hoses would have worked better for me. The 1/2" hoses are very stiff and hard to route. Bottom line you can't go wrong with this attachment.
