The Clamp-On Quick Spade is the perfect tool for landscaping, tree stump removal, planting, etc. We have designed this quick spade to easily clamp onto the front edge of your dirt bucket or slide onto your fork blades with the built-in fork pockets that measure 4.75" x 1.5". The clamping system allows the quick spade combo unit to slide onto buckets with a front cutting edge up to 2" thick or 1.5" if using the clamping puck. The overall length of the spade is 45" with the spade blade measuring 18" wide by 27-1/2" long and is made from 3/8" steel. The frame of the spade will be constructed with 1/4" thick steel. Attaching this spade to your bucket allows you to start digging your trench, and the loose material will collect in your bucket. This saves you time by allowing you to move more material on each pass. With its unique and universal design, you can easily add this digging tool to your arsenal regardless of the make and model of your tractor or skid steer.

I bought the Quick Spade along with a set of pallet forks for my subcompact Massey Ferguson tractor (GC1723E). I like the versatility of the spade in that I can attach it to the end of the forks or clamp it to my bucket. With it on the forks, I don't have a whole lot of lifting capacity left, but have tremendous reach and can dig a fairly deep hole. This is my consolation for not buying the excavator attachment with my tractor. With it on the bucket, I can dig a quick hole and curl back to catch the debris in the bucket and dump it out in another location. I have a lot of clay, rocks, and gravel just under my topsoil and this made short work of a fruit tree stump/root ball that had defied manual digging. My only complaint comes from when I had it on the forks and was ramming it into hard ground. In the process I managed to shove the forks through the end of the fork pockets and got it jammed on pretty badly. It took a lot of pounding with a sledge hammer to get it off. I will weld up the gap at the end of the fork pockets to keep this from happening again. All that said, this thing is super heavy duty (compared to the rest of my tractor) and I'm pretty sure I will bend my loader arms or bucket before I harm the quick spade in any way. So I'll have to be mindful of how much load I put into my rig.

Heavy built unit. There definitely is a learning curve to become proficient with it. Once you get hang of it works well. Only problem I had was when putting on my forks I had to get longer bolts. The ones they sent weren't long enough. Found 2 inch metric bolts that solved the problem. Overall a good product.

I have an old Allis Chalmers 5015. Clamped this to the bucket and I have moved rocks, made trenches ,dug a small duck pond. Thing is sweet. Haven’t owned it long but I have put it through its paces. In my case it’s stronger than my bucket so have to be mindful of that but definitely recommend . Going to be moving some small trees around with it soon.

The spade works well, and it also doubles as a carry-all for moving hay bales, lumber, fencing, large plants, small trees, etc. I wish there was a shorter version for compact tractors like my Kubota B7100, as it can put quite a bit of stress on the loader and hydraulics unless you're super careful when digging and lifting loads. It doesn't take a lot of weight to get the rear wheels off the ground with this much leverage.

Works like a charm! Very well made and designed. Would be better if the beveled edge had serrations so it wouldn't slide around roots.

In our sandy Florida soil even our little 1-series Deere easily dug nice big holes for trees and bushes. Sure it might be challenged in rocky soil but it works great here. Very stoutly made and the clamps work fine. It would also work well as a handy shallow trencher or cultivator.

Will use to dig a 100' trench 2' deep. Will use a ripper tooth to turn up the shale soil then dig out. The spade is well made.
