The HD forged spear will penetrate your bale, and won't push the bale off of the stack like many round spears are known to do. “I haven't got to use these on round bales yet. I had square bales so I had to order a set of the 39-in spears with sockets and add them onto my attachment. It would be nice if the sockets for the stabilizers were the same size as for the bale spears so that you could interchange them for bale spears. I like the socket and nut assembly. I only tighten the nut hand tight and remove the spears when I am using the attachment for other things. Very smooth. FedEx shipping sucks. I wish they used UPS instead.”
