It improves traction by balancing and shifting the weight from your equipment’s weaker front end to its more solid rear end. This Ballast Box has been engineered to hold up to 1,100 LB of weight; fill it with concrete, sand, steel, gravel, or rocks. It has a sliding front door that quickly empties the box and reduces weight when needed. You can also use the Ballast Box for tool storage. It is built from heavy-duty 11-gauge steel for superior durability and strength. It fits on Category 2, 3 Point tractors, and skid steers.

“I was struggling with my mid size tractor to haul large dirt loads and 5-6 foot round bales. The addition of this box has solved my weight distribution problems and I can be much more productive without worrying about being front heavy. It has allowed me to work faster and keep my nerves at bay. The box went on without issue and is very well constructed.”

“It's very well built and well worth the money. I was using a drag box as a ballast but the ballast box makes a world of difference. I can now lift loads way beyond what i was expecting. I loaded mine with several old tractor weights. I put this on a cat 1 L3400 Kubota and it work's great. I fully recommend this box if your thinking about one. I wish i had purchase it when i got my tractor.”

“Like the ballast box very much! Well made, big enough to hold ample weight, and still small enough to allow good maneuvering. I made a tool box to set just inside the top of box, rests 3inches down on stones I have inside for weight, and sits atop box. I keep a bow saw, hatchet, log chains, hitch pins, and a few other tools… handy to have with me!”
