An effective way to protect your tractor from tipping over is through a Ballast Box. This 3 Point attachment is compatible with Category 1 tractors and will preserve the integrity of your tractor’s front axle through weighted implements. “Had no problem hooking up to my Cat. 1 fast-hitch though the .75" diameter lower pins look a bit light weight. I'll sleeve them up to 1-1/4" with bushings. I used 50 lb. bags of river rock (Menards) for ballast. Left the bags intact for easy of handling & removal if necessary. Like the built-in provision for a trailer hitch. A sheetmetal cover would be a nice addition to keep out leaves, dirt, rain, snow and critters if it must sit exposed outdoors. A turned-down lip around the edge of the cover would keep it in place, and a hasp and a safety clip on opposite sides would secure it to the box and prevent wind from blowing it off. Add a turned-up lip 2" or 3" high and a handle across the top and it turns the cover into a removable tool tray. Shipping was fast once I waited until it was in stock before ordering online. Black paint seems nice enough but it has yet to go through a full year of summer sun. Overall it is not "gem-like" in appearance. It is, however, exactly what I expected and will surely provide years of good service.”

“Excellent features with the plate in the back to unload all the material and also to be able to see your hitch through there. The two tubes in the side is also great for hauling an axe with or shovel and rake. The only thing I would like to see as an option is a slot for a chainsaw. Great product”
