“The ballast Box looks well made. Appears to be pretty rugged. It won't win any beauty contests, but it's not on the butt end of the tractor to look pretty. The hitch receiver will come in handy. 4 instead of 5 stars because the sliding door is somewhat loose...that is if you put sand in it, it would leak out fairly quickly. Gravel or crushed stone would be fine. Other than that it's a good box.”

“Box looks like someone painted rusted metal. All the paint is flaking off on most of the box. Wellds are very inconsistent.....one side is fully welded the other is spot welded. There was an option when ordering for scratch and dent...I'd hate to see what that looks like. I just expected more for the money I paid.”

“I received this ballast box in well-packaged materials and in a timely fashion. The overall size is appropriate for my compact tractor. I decided to fill the box with bricks to allow for modifying the weight. I was able to stack 87 solid bricks in the box securely. That puts the overall weight at around 565 lbs. I like the design and look of the product. This ballast box was about half the cost of the one being sold by my tractor dealer. Overall, I recommend this product to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, well-built ballast box.”
