“The cat 1 ballast box came in on time. The box was in good shape even though FedEx did what they could to destroy the packaging. Build quality is decent, adequate for the job. Green paint doesn't really match the tractor but doesn't matter. The box does its job. My tractor is a JD 4044M. The tires are filled. With a box blade on the 3pt it still is too light in the rear. With the ballast box filled with #57 gravel I can feel the difference in my tractor's performance - traction and stability.”

“Received the ballast box today and immediately mounted it and put it to use. It arrived with some paint scratches on the corners. The big defect is the 3 areas with poor welding. One area (the top point hitch) is a good size hole in the weld. Should easily have been seen in a product quality review.”

“Well made and thought out. If using with a John Deere imatch hitch don’t use JD bushings. Holes and spring pins will not work. I spent time and money figuring out how to make it work. In the end I’m glad I got it.”

“Like the sliding door on the back will make emptying if needed a easy task. The box is well made and it fit the quick change perfectly. I will add a negative if I may and it's the green paint!!! Why can't they use the proper John deere color?? But has zero effect on the function of the ballast box. Nicely built.”

“The box itself is simple but effective. My problem came when I tried to add a quick hitch adapter kit. The holes in the lift pins are smaller than standard. I had to replace them with a set from Amazon.”
