“Overall very good. Would recommend, especially over the lighter-weight Chinese knock-offs out there. Yes, they are less money. Read the specs closely and you'll see why. PROS: 1. Heavy construction of the box adds needed weight in itself before ballast is added. 2. Welds appear to be good quality. 3. Does the job I bought it for. CONS: 1. standard 8" concrete blocks will sit in it side-by-side except for the top (third) row because of the box's design. (this is minor). Used it for the first time this weekend with just (5) 8" blocks in it. Went into places where I have previously become stuck without this ballast box. 2. Loading with those same concrete blocks also leaves unused space, but this can be filled with 4" solid blocks, rocks or whatever if necessary. (also minor) 3. Sand cannot be used as ballast as the sliding rear door does not seal that well. Gravel, however, would work. 4. Garden tool storage tubes work fine and come in handy; however, the edges of wooden handles will soon be marked and nicked right about where your hand lays when using. A beveled edge here or some sort of plastic rim cover would solve this. 5. Shipping protection was a good try, by not quite adequate. Some cardboard corners underneath the stretch wrap would be a plus. After being dragged/rolled/hauled by the shipper, the paint is gone from the corners by the time you get it.”

“I absolutely love this, the design, and the manufacturing quality are great. My ONLY issues were concerning it being handled poorly in shipping, and the draft link pins both had defects that required them to be "vigorously persuaded". The shipping company saw the word "Heavy" and mistranslated that to "Football" which was no fault of Titan Attachments in any way. No matter 10 min with a ball-peen hammer and John Deere Original Equipment Green Spray Paint #TY25624. Good as new! The draft link pins had to be redrilled to allow for the roll pins (needed to hold the required bushing in place) as they were 3/16 too small and off center. This is a simple matter, and if your purchasing this ballast box I should hope that you posess some farm ingenuity and a pocketfull of "make it work" Would I buy this again, yes, definitely. Do I recommend you buy it? Buy 2, extras are good! Yes”
