3 Point Flail Mowers with Hydraulic Side Shift 72" Reviews

4.4 Rating 31 Reviews
Read Titan Attachments Reviews

The Flail Mower with Hydraulic Side Shift is designed to make easy work of maintaining vegetation such as grass, heavy undergrowth, and tree prunings. With the ability to slide 8" in either direction (left or right), this flail mower makes those hard-to-reach areas an easy cut!
Featuring forged hammer flail blades, this mower cuts and mulches materials up to 3" in diameter in a single pass — then shreds your cuttings into fine bits of quickly decomposing grass that are dispersed across your lawn to nourish your land as micronutrient-rich fertilizer. And trimmings fall to the ground instead of to the sides, reducing potentially dangerous projectile debris.
Attach your mower to any Cat 1 tractor or loader with a 3 Point hitch for easy installation. This mower is powered by your machine’s PTO. For optimum power and capability, we recommend using a tractor with a minimum of 40 HP and a maximum of 50 HP for the 60" cutting width and a minimum of 45 HP and a maximum of 55 HP for the 42" cutting width.
Plus, an adjustable rear roller allows for precise cutting height control, even on uneven ground. That means you get a clean and even cut, no matter the terrain!

Everything I have order from titan seems to be build very well and this flair mower I don’t need yet because grass and weeds have not grown so I have not even open up the freight crate it has came in so I can’t say great or bad but my guess it’s good like the rest.. rototillers great and backhoe attachment great along with set of forks and 72 inch root grapple great

This mower is very well built but comes in three pieces which must be assembled. The hydraulic unit is heavy and requires 3 people or 2 people and a front loader to hold the unit in position so that it can be bolted on to the mower unit. My mower also had various pieces of hardware missing and it was a bit of an ordeal to get them, but customer service finally came through. The assembly directions were at the bottom of the shipping crate, so be sure to look for them before getting too upset. The owner’s manual on the internet is useless for assembly purposes. Having said all that, it’s a fine, heavy duty mower which cuts well and I’m pleased with it so far. Just be prepared for ‘some assembly required’.

I purchased this attachments from Amazon before i had checked out the Titan site. I love Titan products but this one arrived with nuts and bolts scattered throughout the packaging. I had to pick pieces out of the dirt in order to put it together. I would recommend they put the smaller parts in a bag to make it easier to find them, As to performance it works very well. The ability to offset the mower is great especially when mowing edges.

I was a little apprehensive because this flail is a third o the price of competitors. I mowed 10 acres of pasture land so far and I was performed very well.

This mower does the job!! Turns stuff into mulch. Drive right out of pasture and into yard and mowed the grass perfect also. Lol But for scrubby pastures with small trees and buck type brush, this is the ticket to nice cut. Handed 5’ tall stuff okay also just moving slower. I’m only running it on a JD 4044R with 45hp which is the lower end of the range mower needs but it does fine. Shifting the mower sideways to grab up close to fences and sides of roads is awesome also. Manual is a little light and could use some more detail, but for most part is common sense. Have to assemble few parts but didn’t take long with impact. So far impressive.....
