3-Point PTO Wood Chipper Attachment 25" rotor (Up to 40HP) Reviews

4.7 Rating 57 Reviews
Read Titan Attachments Reviews

Effortlessly mulch branches and brush into wood chips for landscaping, composting, and forestry. This mulcher has a self-feeding chute to cut down on the time and energy spent on each job. Once you drop a branch in, you’re free to grab another. Plus, the adjustable exit chute allows you to direct wood chips exactly where you need them to go. An over-sized rotor increases chipping efficiency while reducing vibration, even with thicker and harder woods.Operating at 540-1,000 RPM and powered by your loader’s PTO, blockages are quickly eliminated for better material flow. Each model has a 3 point hitch mounting system for easy installation and transportation. The 25" rotor is ideal for tractors up to 40HP. This heavy-du rotor is ideal for tractors up to 70HP. This heavy-duty shredder mulcher is equipped with reversible blades to reduce the need for replacements, integrated air vents to prevent overheating, and twig breaker paddles to tackle smaller branches, twigs, and leaves to prevent clogging.

The Titan Attachments 3-pt Wood Chipper for tractors up to 40hp (25" 70lb rotor) is a well made, helverstout (lot of steel) device. It definitely self-feeds, but keep a handful of grade 5, 2" long 5/16" bolts as spares for the shear pin. It is well designed to shear the bolt when it binds suddenly on some hard, dry wood. After several hours of chewing through some long Cypress, Oak and other dry limbs (and one shear bolt) she seems like a workhorse.

This is quite an aggressive implement that is not for every homeowner to use. While it is quite good at chipping larger pieces it can also be somewhat dangerous to use if you are not really careful. I am quite used to all types of implements for my 50 HP tractor and was surprised at what this chipper can do and what concerns a user must be aware of to be safe. On more than one occasion I fed three to four-inch crooked branches and had them slammed back and forth causing me to be struck really hard because I was feeding them in by hand. Now I stand back to avoid injury. This implement works well and is well-built but needs a really careful operator to avoid injury. I think anyone with a tractor large enough HP to drive this chipper should know anything attached to that tractor could be dangerous.

We have used the chipper now for probably 20 hours so far and it does a great job. Make sure to pick up some extra sheet bolts you will need them if you start chipping larger harder wood. Overall very well built tool.

Works exactly as advertised. As far as packaging and setup, I do have a couple comments. The chipper arrived in perfect condition. My only issue was with the PTO shaft (which arrived taped and in bubble wrap). The only reason I mention this is if it happens to someone else, I want to share what I did to make it work. PTO shaft did not telescope out at all. It was 100% stuck to the point I had to cut away the plastic cover, and use a hammer/chisel to tap it apart. Once I got the two sections apart, I scraped away the carbon or paint that seemed to cause it to stick, and applied lubrication. No issues from that point forward.

Bought this for my ranch in Texas. Handles anything I throw at it under 4 inches. Just have to cut it short. I recommend using a PTO clutch so you don’t go through the sheer pin.

The chipper works great. I wish that I had purchased it 10 years ago.
