For the price you can't beat it. Had to grab a pair after I woke up the baby. Wife didn't mind the purchase. Definitely deadens the bounce and reduces the sounds. Also has other users as well. If you want a happy wife and or husband plus a sleeping baby, grab them

Sturdier than I thought. Certainly deadens drops. Can act as a great pad for rear foor elevated split squats and jumps.

We use these pads for all sorts of things in our gym. In addition to silencing bar drops we use them to add height to box jumps, as under-shoulder supports for glute bridge thrusts, as slam ball catch-pads (preserves our medicine balls), and other. They're holding up well after a year's use (3-12 sessions per week).

The pads are great, but what of you still want to do full range of motion deadlifts with them? With two 2x4x8s and a sheet of high quality plywood it is no problem. Cut one 2x4x8 into 4 21' segements and cut the second into two 36' segements and an additional 21' segment. Use these pieces to screw together a 36x24 frame. Cut the sheet of plywood into four 2'x3' segements and nail or screw two of them to the top and tow,to the bottom of the frame. You now have a 5.5 inch platform that you can place the drop pads next to, resulting in a full range of motion deadlift (the compression of the pads under heavy load should make up for the difference between the 6 inch pads and the 5.5 inch platform. If you are concerned about scratching the floor under the platform use a spray adhesive to attach a 2x3' 1/4' rubber mat to one side of the platform. You can also add a gate handle to one of the 36' sides of the platform to make for easier handling. I just completed the project. If the pads shift around while I am lifting I will attach 4' hook and loop (velcro) to connect the pads to the platform.

I was seriously doubtful of this product, but I figured it was worth a shot. I lift in a garage that has an apartment above it. The people in the apartment would obviously complain whenever i would drop any weight, even as little at #95. After this purchase I was able to drop #275 from the front rack position without any complaints. highly recommended.

These pads are amazing. They do a great job of protecting my floor and deadening the sound of the weights hitting. The only other product out there that compares is the pound pad at triple the cost. Definitely a great buy and one of the best products I have received from Titan so far.

These things are great!!!! I have bumper plates in our basement gym, but I have heard horror stories about foundations being cracked even with bumper plates. So I was constantly nagging my HS age son and his friends not to drop the weights when they deadlift etc ... their definition of drop was different from mine (funny how having your name on the mortgage makes you see things a little differently). Anyway I got the Silencer pads - wow, what a bargain! < 50% the cost of the competition, and < 1000% the cost of a new foundation! But there are benefits to my lifting, too, not just my peace of mind. For example some lifts - such as cleans, or trap bar deadlifts in the Ryan Flaherty model - are designed to emphasize the concentric lift, and minimize the eccentric lowering. Now that I feel free to drop the weights I look forward to getting all the results with half the DOMS! If you lift off the top of these, it is pretty much like lifting off of 5" blocks. With my trap bar I just flip the handles down and stand on a couple of plates; it's within an inch of lifting off the floor with handles up. And for sets of cleans I just lift from where the bar sits; it is basically a low hang position. I can totally live with that given the luxury of being able to drop the load. And honestly it's a little easier on the back than coming off the floor, I don't mind that one bit. Bottom line, these are highly recommended. And if you are a homeowner you can't afford not to!

I can't believe how quiet these are, I live in an apartment complex and I can finally drop the weight! If you're on the fence just make the purchase, you won't regret it.
