After reading reviews, I bought this and the foot plate is too far from the pad at the shortest adjustment for me. I'd have to stand on my tiptoes to be able to use this and I'm 5'3". Such a waste of my money. The holes also didn't line up so it's a tad crooked from left to right.

The pads hurt hips. My feet don’t reach the plate even with adjusting the setting.

I have had this 45° back extension over a month and have used it many times as have others I train with. It is an excellent value. Back extensions like this are easier to use than a GHD and anre easier to do side-facing movements for obliques and QL than on a GHD. The two areas for improvement would be a roller to hold the heel in place rather than a lip on the base. The lip on this unit is less secure than a heel roller would be. The second is that even when I’ve tightened down the mechanism fully, it is still a bit wobbly. Neither of those are significant flaws and, for many users, this unit will be more than adequate compared to much higher price options.

Bought a similar version and broke quickly. It didn’t withstand the max weight it listed, Titan was recommended and couldn’t be happier. Very sturdy, great quality and I definitely recommend it.

I'm very happy with this Titan Fitness Back Hyperextension so far. It is well built, sturdy, and works for all the excercises that I purchased it for. Doing dips on the front handles is a little difficult because the handles are low and it flexes some, but I'm over 200 pounds and didn't buy it for this purpose. It still works, but isn't ideal. For the intended tasks, it works perfectly. The one plastic piece, a sleeve where the top and bottom half slide together, arrived broken. I emailed Titan customer service and they shipped a new one within a couple days. Appreciate the after sale support.

This is an item that had great potential and severely dissappointed. The unit is much lighter than anticipated and rocks while in use under body weight only. (I'm 5'7" and 155lbs and use it cautiously - my 6'1" and 230lb husband doesn't use it at all for fear of the unit completely tipping him on his face). I had purchased this to help rehab my back after surgeries and will try to figure out how to weight the base without creating a trip hazard so that it's not also a tip-over hazard. The potential it had was that it does adjust to fit very tall people and the padding is comfortable for the price. The unit also arrived also arrived with cosmetic damage, but customer service was helpful to recitfy that.

It’s worth it for what your trying to do. I don’t think it’s suitable for heavier people thou, I could be wrong thou. The adjustable rest that slides in and out seems very light weight to me. I’m 200ish lbs at times, but I’m 186 theses days and it seems fine for me. But if I were a bigger person I’d not be too sure about it and I’d go in thinking well it might fail and I’d be very conscious of that thought and act accordingly. But that’s just me, I’m a type A personality so take it for what it’s worth. I like it for sure I use it 2-3 times a-week and I’m hugging a 25lbs plate as well. Thank you
