Plate Loaded Chest Press Machine Reviews

The Plate Loaded Chest Press Machine is constructed for home and garage gym athletes that may need a safety catch while lifting alone. Built out as a fully functional upper body multi-press that allows the user to feel the same range of motion as free weights. Each arm is independent of the other, allowing for various weight levels on each arm or stack the weights for a balanced development of your upper body. The specialty machine includes an adjustable FID bench with several incline and decline positions. Lay the bench flat to develop pectoral or chest muscles. Adjust the seat at an incline to put less strain on your rotator cuff and activate your deltoids. Or position the bench at a decline and rep through an abdominal routine.

Poor quality and design. The worst part is I’m stuck with the equipment now, as the Titan Fitness return policy is RIDICULOUS. So much for trusting a company to back their products. Just wish I read the return policy before I made my purchase. Do not recommend anyone purchase this equipment.

Love this piece. Awesome chest pump on flat and decline. Incline angle isn’t good for chest as it hits my shoulders way more than a normal incline chest press does.

Not a fan of width of the grips. Also don’t like the movement in the bench it could be better all the way around I honestly would send it back if I hadn’t put it together already

Initially when I saw this multi-bench, I was excited. Many other manufacturers have single-function bench machines, e.g. ONLY incline, ONLY decline, ONLY flat. However, after carefully assembling the product according to the instructions and using it for two weeks, I have concluded that this product is not only garbage but is actually UNSAFE. It needs SIGNIFICANT redesign before it can be safe to use and effective for fitness purposes. Even when the plate holders are unloaded, it is nearly impossible to adjust the stops so that the machine can transition from incline to flat to decline. The locking mechanism requires one hand to operate, the plate holder arm must be lifted by another hand, then the stop needs to be adjusted which requires a third hand all at the same time. Horrible design. The stops need one more hole between the last existing hole and all the way down. When in the full decline position, your arms will hit the diagonal stabilizer bars that attached to the bench and the upright bars. This is actually DANGEROUS because your arms can become pinned between the handles and the diagonal stabilizers. These stabilizers seem to be unnecessary. At the very least, they could be redesigned to be more effective and SAFE. The hinge between the seat and the upper part of the bench sticks up when in the declined position. This is a SERIOUS injury hazard. The bar WILL dig into your lower lumbar area when laying down on the bench because the cushions compress, leaving the hinge sticking up. To use it, I have had to lay a cushion or thick towel rolled-up over the hinge. The first time I tried to use the machine, it this hinge dug into my back and caused marks and pain. In addition to the issue with the hinge on the seat and bench, there are no foot pegs like with many other benches out there so that you can pull yourself up from the declined position. The incline and flat positions are not an issue. However, without foot pegs, you end up flopping down on the bench and flailing around trying to get up.

I docked one star only because it should be noted that while it is great for a home gym setting, it isn’t as hefty as a commercial grade product. The bench is pretty light and shifts a bit side to side when getting into position. This is fine for me (a 5’2” female at 140#). It seemed to work well with my personal training clients and one is 6ft. However, I would be concerned whether a bigger/heavier person would like it.

Overall its a good safety piece of equipment, great for those that want to do bench presses but have no spotter available. Only problem I had was with the instructions, there were two pieces to the equipment that had no instructions on what to do with it. I had to study the pictures and sketches to figure out where it belongs than I had to figure out how to installed it. Through trail and error finally got it done.
