As good as a commercial gym

They work as good as described, solid well built products and I might have done an overkill getting two towers but the final product is just the way I had on mind, adapting them to my Titan T-2 series.

I have purchased several Titan products recently as they have definitely improved their overall quality. This is the first new item I am not completely satisfied with. I believe there is a bit too much friction on the pulleys or the slide apparatus. I removed the snap on plastic covers surrounding each ball bearing on each pulley and lubricated them all. This definitely helped, but it still feels like there is more friction than my lat tower. I realize the plastic pulleys are part of what keeps the cost down. I even wonder if the plastic pulley could be improved as the bearing seems to spin free after lubrication, but the two snap plastic covers seem to slow them down. The upgrade to aluminum pulleys on a competitor’s product brings their price close to $500. Thus, I am happy with the value, just wish it was a bit more smoother. I wish Titan also offered an upgrade as I suspect having 13 plastic pulleys magnifies the problem. By the way , the upgrade kit from the competitor does not fit the V3 tower.

This machine is great to use. I have used it every workout since and it’s got my wife from just using the treadmill to doing some cable lifting and she loves it too. I would give the built machine a 5/5 once it’s built. My only con is that it’s perfectly built. I would say it takes moderate handiness to get it together and attention to detail. My biggest issue was that some of the brackets that hold the pulleys were bent. I had to take a wrench and bend them back into place. The other downside to building was that the bolts all come in the same bag and several only vary by increments of 5mms. Just make sure you’re paying attention to that and sort them all out before starting. Also the instructions could be better written, especially the parts about running the cables.

I’ve had this in my home gym for a month now and it easily does everything I need it to do. That’s for a 5’7” 150 lb male lifter using it for small isolation exercises up to 150 lb bigger exercises. I didn’t use any kind of lubricant on the pulleys and I find the movement on them just fine, smooth as can be. Assembly is pretty awful and the directions are rather backwards (and I am very mechanically inclined, it’s just a very nice machine with absolutely no thought for the person that has to assemble it, poor clearance for bolts, poor instructions, no lag bolts to wall mount…). A+ for the finished product and you’ll love it after the F of a first day you spend cussing whoever wrote the instructions.

Having a cable system has absolutely leveled up my home gym. The resistance curve compared to only having dumbbells/barbells before is awesome. I'm using this for multiple exercises, every lift now.
