If I had to sum up this bench in a single word, it would be lightweight. I would qualify myself as a typical weightlifter who exercises 3-4 times a week. My current bench was padding was getting worn, so I wanted to replace it with a decent flat bench. I looked at several manufacturers, but reviews for this bench were generally positive, and I found this bench on sale (almost 50% off) during the holidays which convinced me purchase it. I have been using it for a few weeks now, and I have found that the bench has its strengths and weaknesses. The best attributes for the bench are that the bench is lightweight, easy to move around, and well-constructed for what it is. However, there are a few issues that I found rather quickly, and they have kept me from using it as a replacement for my old bench. The first issue I found was that the bench surface vinyl is fairly slippery (more so than any bench I have used). I tried cleaning it several times with different solutions, but it really didn't improve. It wasn't a significant issue since I was able to resolve it by throwing a textured toolbox liner over the bench to get enough grip to keep from slipping around on it, but it is still an annoyance. I may look into having it recovered if I use it more in the future. The biggest issue for me was a lack of stability of the bench. The only exercise I found the bench relatively stable for was bench press. Lunges, dips, single arm exercises, and anything using support near the edge of the bench instead of the middle can cause the bench to shift, especially at the single post side. I thought it may be due to the three-post design (my first time owning a three-point bench), but after trying a friend's much more heavy-duty three post bench made from a different company, I did not see that same issue. It is probably a combination of the low weight, higher center of gravity, and 3-point design. Another thing I noticed was flexing. Now I am not a very heavy lifter (bench press repetitions in the low-mid 200lb range), and I could feel the bench edges flexing each time when I completed repetitions. All of the support for the bench is in the center 3 inches, so it makes sense that the 1/2in or less of plywood base in the pad flexes when placing weight on the shoulder blades near the edges where there is no support. I cannot say exactly how much, but it can definitely be felt, and it was more than I wanted. I don't think it's going to break any time soon for me, but when I see a rating of 1000lbs, I would expect it to be rock solid with less than half the weight. I can't imagine this bench would last long for bigger people who bench heavy. Once again, this issue was not present on a different bench with the same design supported only along the middle of the bench (but I did find out that the other bench used a thicker plywood base in the pad). Overall, I felt this was an average bench with its best characteristic being its mobility. It is certainly still useful for the price I paid for it, but I don't think the value is there if it were regular price. For the $150-$250 range, I would look at something different. There are many options out there including the Titan Hefty bench for just a little more money. It would be worth it in my opinion.

Part of the metal was bent so when put together the bench was lip sided and not flat and steady to the ground

I would not buy this item unless the quality improves. The Titan stitching was coming apart. The vinyl cover was too loose and did not fit properly. The bench was listed as being 17 inches tall, but after it was assembled it measures 17 3/4 inches tall. The plywood in the pad seemed flimsy and needs to be thicker. The metal frame was uneven and not square with the rest of the bench. I returned the bench for a full refund. The return process was quick and easy.

Bench is good value for the price. The end with the single post is a bit unstable when first sitting on the bench. When you lay down to do the lift and your weight is dispersed, it is stable.
