Target your abdominal and lower back muscles effectively using the Seated Ab / Back Extension Machine. This high-quality unit empowers you to engage in both seated back extensions and abdominal crunches while maintaining a comfortable seated posture. Our machine is designed with a rotary flywheel mechanism which allows for complete control over your starting position. Simply use the pop pins to adjust the pad to your desired starting point. To switch from a back extension to an abdominal workout flip the weight post to the opposite starting position and away you go! Additionally, this machine offers versatility with (4) bolt-down holes for concrete anchors or the option to utilize the counter-balance weight post for heavier weight repetitions, all without requiring permanent mounting.

I tried contacting the company Titan like two weeks ago, never heard back a response. I get an annoying scraping when adding more than a 45 lb plate and 35 lb plate, than I add like a 10 lb plate ore more... Bigger plate the better. I tried doing a 45 lb plate and 25 lb plate, then doing 10 lb increments with about three 10 lb plates on the side of the 45 and 25 lb plate, I get a lot of scraping. I asked them if I can add a washer or something to seperate the two poles more, I attached a photo. I don't lift that serious of weight, well maybe more than the average person, I just did about 295 lb on bench. But this ab machine is supposedly rated for 220 lbs... Sorry man, don't see that happening. If you look at how the body solid ab machine is designed, they don't have a v shaped poles splitting off which is causing the rubbing. Either thinking about selling this, possibly returning this, and just getting the body solid ab machine! Really like the Titan Ab Machine a lot, but the rubbing is way to annoying when I get to heavier weight. I can prevent some of the rubbing by adjusting the pad so I have to lean all the way back to the start, but I shouldn't have to do that.

Good machine, wish it came with instructions. You have to print the instructions off the website. Also be sure to use two 16mm wrenches, the wrenches it comes with hurt your hand to use.

I got this for the home gym since I stopped going to the gym for about 2 years. I relied on a Roman Chair the worst year, but realized it was not a replacement for a back extension machine. The machine took about two hours to put together. I love the machine. The resistance at start is less, the goes up with further back extension/trunk flexion. This is great since there is less risk of severe torque causing muscle pull. Also when you adjust the resistance roller on the flywheel itself will adjust the resistance. So I have 110 pounds and adjust the flywheel to increase/decrease the resistance. So I don't even need to change the weights. Maybe after 1-2 months, I may increase the weight as tolerated. Since I can now do about 25 reps with trunk extension and 20 reps with flexion. I can also rotate the trunk for the oblique muscles at 8-12 reps. Over all great machine. Better than I had hoped for. There is one issue. The base is not perfectly level. So I put a 1/4 inch thick rubber piece on the back left base so the machine does not rock when using (used on a rubber mat and I did not screw into the ground). Also, there was a mention by another user that the seat adjustment pin didn't work. Basically you cannot screw in the pin device in 100%. If you screw the pin device in about 50%, then you can pull the pin to adjust the seat height. I screw it in 100% myself since in only need one height and it then secured the seat in better (less rocking).
