“I love everything about this bar, the color, the coating, the collars, the aggressive knurling, but I had to return it due to the width of the knurling. There are 21.5 inches of bar in the center without knurling. in my convention deadlift stance, the inside of my grip is about 17 inches wide, and the outside about 24 inches wide. This means that half of my grip had no knurling beneath it, which completely defeats the purpose of owning this bar with the aggressive knurling. Widening my grip to accommodate necessitates me having to hinge too far forward to begin the lift. For anyone who uses a wider grip than me, this seems like a fantastic bar, but for someone with narrower shoulders or using a narrow sumo stance grip, you're probably better off with the Blue City Power Bar which I ended up purchasing as a replacement. (Note, the beginning width of the knurling isn't specified, and must be derived from the other product specifications: Sleeve to sleeve length is 55.5 inches, and knurling length on each side is 17 inches, leaving a total of 21.5 inches in the center without knurling.)”
