SquatMax-MD by Titan Fitness is a cutting-edge belt squat machine that offers an optimal free-weight squatting experience. Unlike other anchored pulley systems, the SquatMax-MD provides a vertical line of force, keeping the weight load centered under the hips. This ensures an optimal and authentic squatting motion, effectively targeting the entire lower body musculature. With proven scientific research backing its benefits, SquatMax-MD is the perfect solution for those seeking an exceptional belt squat experience.
Vertical Line of DriveThe machine's patented design centers the weight load beneath the lifter's hips, creating a direct vertical line of drive. This ensures effective muscle engagement for lower body strength. Unlike other belt squat systems, the SquatMax-MD lets lifters engage their core while maintaining proper alignment. This builds lower body power without stressing the shoulders, spine, and lower back, enhancing core strength and stability.
Reduced Risk Of InjuryThe Vertical Line of Drive alignment reduces spinal shearing forces and the risk of lumbar disc herniation, maintaining a neutral pelvic and lumbar position. In barbell squats, the spine supports both the barbell's weight on the trapezius muscles and the body's weight, compressing intervertebral discs. The SquatMax-MD diverts the load from the spine, reduces spinal pressure and is an excellent option for lower body training.High Quality ConstructionCrafted with precision from high-quality materials, the SquatMax-MD features a robust 11-gauge steel frame, 48mm weight sleeves, and 32mm knurled handles. The SquatMax-MD design accommodates weights up to 1,000 lb on the nylon belt and 1,300 lb on the loading pin, while the polyurethane vinyl cushioned seat enhances comfort and versatility, making it an ideal choice for impactful lower-body strength training.

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the SquatMax-MD. It arrived about 10 days afyter placing the order and came in a big wooden crate. The assembly process was pretty simple, however, they did not include a paper instructional manual. Like their other products, they send a card with a QR code to pull up the instructions on your phone. This makes it a little annoying having to zoom in on your phone just to be able to see each step. Once assembled, it's a solid piece of equipment, especially for the price. Would recommend.

SquatMax is pretty much everything I hoped it would be. I use it for a 3rd squat day to allow me to get more squat volume in without adding to already acrued systemic stress from deadlifts and back squats; allowing lower back fatique to clear out while still volumizing below the waist squat movers. The issue, for me, is depth. I bottom out a lot higher than I would like and this is disappointing. Yes, I have used the transformer pin, but this doesn't completely help. Plus, I like squatting without the transformer pin. I'm really hoping that Titan will offer some sort of lift for the deck as an add on. I would buy one. I need about 3 inches more height on the deck. My height is 5'9".

My issue with this is you can't get good depth without bottoming out and if you raise it the pin comes off the guide causing issues for additional reps. To fix this I just added some 4x4's under each side and some 4x4 spacers to the center piece that attaches to the pin. This raises the platform and lowers the pin. I am working on a spring loaded PVC extension to keep the center guide pin functional as this is a big part of how the squatmax md functions. I also bought the transformer pin for. More depth but it still doesn't allow you to get anywhere near depth. I'm 5'11" and my wife is 5'2" and we both had the same issue. It isn't made to get full depth unfortunately. I'm invested and after having back surgery from a vehicle rollover this is a great piece for me to be able to continue to train my legs hard without exacerbating my issues further.

This thing is heavy duty. I don’t like having to go online for assembly instructions. Titan does not make that part easy. I can’t save the file nor will it print out. So if I accidentally close it I have to start the whole process over again. Titan also has ads over the top of the file and my phone said I needed to download an app to see the instructions which wanted my credit card for a free trial. NOPE! Cmon Titan make it more simple. The Squatmax is great I have video on my YouTube channel (HeCoversMe) Hardware is probably the worst part. Nuts/bolts are hard to thread on at times

Love this device. The only issue I have is I am 6"3" and very long legs. The machine bottoms out when I squat deep and I'm afraid to fully stand up especially if you use the narrow plate. I thought about using blocks but then I'd pull the weight off the guide when I stand up. Maybe I'll use weight lifting shoes. That leads to the other criticism is the narrow plate for close stance squat prevents you from loading it with enough weight. But overall you don't need a ton of weight to smash the legs.

I am 71 years old and no longer wanted to compress my spine with a heavy barbell. Please don't get me wrong, Barbell squats are called the king of strength training for a reason, NO SINGLE EXERCISE BULIDS OVERALL MUSCLE AND STRENGTH LIKE SQUATS. However, as we get into our later years we have to train smarter and avoid injuries etc. so I was looking for an alternative that would keep my legs strong and be easy on my back. I considerd a leg press but they are large and heavy and I didn't to go that route so what was I to do? Enter Squat Max, I love this machine , Brian Hennessy and Titan knocked out of the park with the Squat Max The footprint is not all that large and its easy to move if needed. If you are on the fence about the Squat Max don't be just get one!

Love it! I definitely feel the burn in my quads when I use it. It's probably the most effective leg exercise for me. I have long legs and it's difficult to do a lot of exercises. (I'm 6'3" with a 36" inseam). I am still experimenting with the different ways to stand. I alternate between wide, narrow, and sumo stances. I also elevate my heels occasionally. Another fantastic thing about the SquatMax is how much it has helped my back and my posture. I was a paramedic for 20 years and I have some lingering issues. But once I started using the Squat!ax, they have improved a lot. I don't walk with a slight forward lean anymore. Also, it seems my hips are more flexible too.
