They add a small amount of weight to the bar, but that is not a bad thing unless you are going for a personal record and want a more accurate weight amount. But they are solid collars and hold tight. “I have only used them a couple times but I am thoroughly impressed with how well they lock in without moving. Only slight downside is it only works with normal Barbells, it doesn't fit for the Specialty Bars like the Multi-Grip Camber Bar so it's not a One Size fits all Collar but still Works Well”
