I don’t have a ton of experience with loadable dumbbells, but I like these so far. The knurling is fine, and there is plenty of space to load places. If someone at Titan is reading this, they should consider making very narrow collars for these to ensure customers can load as much as possible without sacrificing room to wide collars.

Great Flexibility if u already have plates. Wish I could load more plates. But for the price and free shipping can’t beat it

Great quality, can hold about 2 10lbs plates on each side plus the clip so about 48.5lbs total. I should have got the bigger ones to hold more weight but these do fine

Works well just wish length of the handle was a touch shorter. Using thin plates like “weight it outs” plates you can get up 60+ pounds on a single dumbbell. Decent knurl, as for quality I’d give these 8 out of 10. Ends have lair more slop than I like. These are the beat bang for buck if you dollars are tight!

The reason the handle area is longer is to provide additional clearance when you find yourself using 25s. They spin well which eliminated my wrist pain from cross chest dumbbell curls. A drop of oil in the collars and they spin even better now. Ultra thin compression collars are what I use with 3 plates, regular 1.5in collars with 2 on each side.

Overall I'm very pleased with the quality and finish of these handles. Excellent price point for a quality piece of equipment. My only minor complaint is that I'm not a fan of the rotating sleeves. Guess it's from all the years of using the local gym dumbbells which are solid. But I quickly solved that with some snap ring pliers and two 15/16" sockets. Used the pliers to remove the snap rings on the ends, removed the Titan brand endcap and the black space, put a socket on each end with a straight bar and a ratchet and tightened down the nuts until the sleeves no longer moved. Then gave it another good 1/4 turn. Replaced the spacer and endcap, reset the snap ring and voila!, now good to go.

In my opinion, these are an exception to the phrase "you get what you pay for." A great product at a very low price point compared to competitors selling individual loadables for over $100. Yeah, the sleeves are only 3.5 in, but I've managed to get up to ~80 lbs (25s, 10s) each with thinner plates (and 1.5" collars). I could go higher if I had more heavy plates. I am very happy with this purchase. FYI, mine came all greased up which I washed off with some soap and warm water. Titan - 4 inch sleeves without compromising the 15-16 inch overall length of these dumbbells would be perfect!

Overall, nice dumbbells. However, the sleeves are too short to hold more than one or two small plates and be able to fit a clip or collar. The length of the bar is fine, but the handle is bigger than necessary which makes the sleeves too short.
