Safety Squat Olympic Bar - 61 LB Barbell - Shop Olympic, Specialty & Performance Barbells - Titan Fitness Reviews

The Safety Squat Bar is a specialty training barbell outfitted with shoulder and arm pads to reduce unnecessary strain on your shoulders. As your weightlifting grows more intensive over time, the pain and discomfort of a traditional barbell squat will increase on your shoulders. That's why this Safety Squat Bar is so effective for beginners as well as enthusiasts.
The bend of the weighted sleeve helps to stabilize your center of gravity, by lowering where the weight plates are added. This balance is key to increasing the effectiveness of your barbell squats. Comfortable hand grips give you more control of the bar during the lift, boosting the security and safety of the exercise.

This is hands down the best item I have ordered from Titan so far. The quality is great and it compares to that of bars at double the price. Avoid the V1 like the plague and spend the little bit extra for this one.

Love this bar. Took me a while to get use to but by far an amazing piece to my home gym. I use it for step ups, reverse lunges, sumo squats and regular squats. Won't ever squat with a regular barbell as long as this holds up

This bar is without a doubt one of the best purchases I've made from Titan. This bar blows rogues out of the water and can definitely compete with the SS yoke. I've had 600lbs on mine so far and it didn't waver. The finish was fine, though that shouldn't matter it's a barbell not a porsche. 10/10 would buy again LOVE IT

I recently started lifting again but been having trouble with the squat. The reason is my shoulder range of motion is horrible. I can't get into lowbar position and can't get into high bar position just yet. So I came across the squat bar on YouTube. Says it for those with limited shoulder mobility or ppl that had shoulder surgery. Basically if u have trouble with shoulder mobility. So I did my research on the top squat bars. Seems like the Elite fts yoke bar is one of the best squat bars but it's about $470 shipped. So I came across a video that mention the Titan squat bar is the clone of the Elite fts yoke bar. Others videos mentioned how well built and balanced it is so I decided to make the purchase. Once they were back in stock I jumped on it. Paid $168 with discount and free shipping. Took 4 days from purchase to delivered to my house. That's awesome. The bar is well built n looks great. The padding seems durable and is comfortable. I'm extremely happy with this bar and Titan. I saved around $300 by buying Titan. They have definitely stepped up there game with the quality. It was also well packaged. The only thing you will need is collars because the weights do slip a little. There is no knurling on sleeves. Would definitely recommend.

You honestly can't go wrong for the price of this bad. I have a 20' neck and wide shoulders and was a bit worried the pad may be too narrow. I was wrong - it fits my neck and traps perfectly. The finish is just fine for me, it's a barbell and will have some nicks and dings with use anyway. Looks good in my basement gym already - I'm super stoked that it came back in stock. Thanks to the Titan social media team for letting me know it was back in so I could pick it up!

Patiently waited during multiple 'Å“sold out' periods to finally commit and order mine. I wish I had purchased sooner. For the price this barbell is amazing. The padding is great, the camber is just right, there are no spinning sleeves or bushings to worry about, so why worry about paying 350 + for a Rogue or Elitefts bar? I use mine every weekend for box squats, hatfield squats, good mornings, and so much more. Definitely worth it.

I've been searching for a deal on an SSB since we moved to the country and 35 minutes from any gym. If you don't know what this bar is for, or how to properly use it check out this video by Brian Alsruhe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q16f3WAcGCg&index=7&list=LLZVuCf7iC6c-l1gb6W60pjQ&t=15s. I've had 3 shoulder surgeries from weight lifting injuries, and this is exactly what I needed to continue squatting. This bar not only enables me to continue, but make gains and beat PR's at age 52 because it's not just for rehab. I was hesitant to purchase the V1, so I ordered the Elite FTS ssb ($460 w/ S&H on sale). As soon as I saw Titan had a V2 out, I cancelled the order w/ Elite FTS and purchased this one. The camber and handle spacing is perfect. I'm 6' 1"/230 lbs. My wife is 5' tall and has no problem using it either, though it's heavier than what she's used to. Shipping was very fast and the bar was packaged very well. Less than half the price and the quality is just as good as anything I've used in any gym. One reviewer complained about the finish not being perfectly smooth on the underside camber bend. While this is true, it doesn't bother me one bit. The Rogue SSB finish is the same, but not as noticeable since it's black. The padding is very dense/comfortable, and the vinyl and stitching seem very sturdy. The handles can easily be removed if you want for different exercises. Overall- this is a fantastic bar and the value for the money is top notch. Don't hesitate to purchase this bar!

If you are serious about squats and are looking for a Safety Squat Bar to round out your training, look no further. The fit and finish is consistent across the bar... the padding is comfortable and easy to replace (although it will be some time till you need to do so)... and the angle of the camber and handles strikes just the right balance between comfort and safety. I just posted a review of this bar comparing it to their earlier version on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r5gafdHeZNQ Good luck with your fitness.
